Ira serves as Co-Chair of the New York Internet & Technology Group and counsels various types of companies, including those in the financial services, technology and Internet businesses. He also provides business and technology consulting services through McGuireWoods Capital Group, McGuireWoods’ wholly owned subsidiary. He is also a certified public accountant. Ira has been a software developer for more than 20 years and has taught computer science at the University at Albany in New York. He has significant experience in complex data structures, object-oriented programming, compression technology and algorithms and client-server technology. Ira has been recognized by the AlleyCat News as one of the leading attorneys representing dot-com companies, and was recently featured in the New York Law Journal and Computer Business Review magazine.
Peter serves as Co-Chair of the New York Internet & Technology Group and has a diverse practice representing Internet, new media, technology, entertainment and other companies. He advises clients on a wide range of issues, including corporate structure, intellectual property matters, mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances, joint ventures, financing, Web site development and hosting agreements, technology agreements, domain name and trademark management, privacy policies, employment agreements, licensing, government compliance, and the international ramifications of doing business online. Peter regularly writes and lectures on Internet and technology issues, and was recently featured in the New York Law Journal and the New York Lawyer magazine.
Yvenne has an intellectual property, Internet, technology, and arts and entertainment law practice. She counsels clients on legal, business and marketing issues, including the protection and exploitation of creative and technological works (including trademarks, copyrights and patents), contract negotiations, Web site development, privacy policies, licensing, domain name protection, and software development. Yvenne provides another dimension to her legal and business counseling through her industry experience in computers, marketing, architecture, and the visual and performing arts. She also publishes articles and lectures on intellectual property, Internet, and arts and entertainment law.
